Failure is part of the process
Quote of the Day: Life didnt end cause I failed, it was enhanced because I didnt give up.
Hello Curvy Divas,
The issue of failure is always a touchy subject. No one wants to be reminded of the goals they never achieved or the ones never attempted due to fear. What about the relationships that didnt work, that dream job you missed because you messed up on the interview. If we think back over our life, I'm sure there a million things you wish you could do over. *raises hand* I know I do. But as I reflect on my 30 + years, I've realized that each failure has taught me something.
Sometimes failure teaches us not to repeat a behavior, to try a new approach, or even reconsider why we are even participating in such an activity. About a year ago, I went through a period where I really hated my job. I mean each day complaining to my partner about what foolishness happened that day. One day I was in a staff meeting and I had an epiphany, why are you doing something that makes you so miserable. So long story short, I quit. Initially it was such a relief because I did not have the everyday stress. Eventually reality set in shortly after, when I was unable to secure a new job immediately and my bills continued to grow. I began to second guess and beat myself up, questioning if I made the right decision.
What I learned:
1. Dont act on emotion (because it will change eventually and you are stuck with the consequences)
2. Have a plan after you make a decision.
3. Things I dont want in a job (now I can pursue an occupation that fits my ideal)
4. Never Allow Fear to keep you from acting. (Fear is the opposite of Faith)
5. Life is too short to be anything but happy!!! (dont allow yourself to get comfortable with being unhappy)
The opportunity to learn and grow is ALWAYS available. Take the time to assess your current situation and how you can improve it. Make a plan and stick with it. Unless it's not working, in which you reassess your methods to reach your goal. It is my desire that whatever your "failure" may be, that you view it as a learning opportunity to motivate change in your life.
Until next time.
Be Strong. Be Confident. Be You.
Sincerely,
Sinnamon

Hello Curvy Divas,
I just wanted to do a quick post to show you my new hair. I did a big chop and colored in ruby red(actually has a more orange tone). The chop was after my attempt to go natural and let my hair grow out. After a few weeks of my teenie weenie afro, I couldnt take it anymore and now I'm rocking a brush cut. Its absolutely AMAZING because I can just brush and go. Let me know what you think. Also check out my outfit of the day to match my new hair.

Quote of the Day: No matter what a woman looks like, if she's
confident, she's sexy.-Paris Hilton
Hello My Curvy Divas,
Oh how I've missed ya. Real Life has been in full effect so I havent had a chance to blog and take pics. But today I have something special for you. As I've been advertising on My Facebook page, this FRIDAY*FRIDAY*FRIDAY*FRIDAY you will now have the chance to SHOP MY CLOSET. First up will be shoes and clutches and a few clothing items. Most of the shoes are size 10 and 11.(great day for you ladies who have trouble finding cute shoes in your size). I usually wear a size 10 but my foot is wide and going up a size has been the solution. For those who have smaller feet dont worry because I will have clothing ranging from size XL(14-16) up to a 2X(18-20).
Initially I couldnt decide on price so........ you choose the price(THAT NEVER HAPPENS). How it will work. I will post an album on my facebook page titled SHOP MY CLOSET. There will be pics of the item and size. Each item is named so you will have a chance to identify those items you are interested in. Inbox me on Facebook which items you are interested in, the price you are willing to pay, and your email address. At the end of the day I will choose the highest bidder and send an actual invoice for payment giving you 24hrs to pay before I relist the item. I will attempt to keep an up to date status on each item(e.g. pending payment or sold). In the event of a tie all parties will be notified and given the opportunity to rebid.
If you are not in the MD/DC area please note a shipping charge will apply. I will combine shipping for multiple items, provide delivery confirmation tracking, and utilize the most affordable shipping method available. Those in the MD/DC area, you are in luck because I will deliver.
So check out the selections and continue to check back often as I continue to add additional items daily. check out some of the items that will be featured below. After you've chosen what you want please encourage your friends to add me on facebook to shop and because I have some additional give-a-ways and contests coming up in August. Good luck and happy bidding.
